This collection of oil paintings gives identity and individuality to amazing coral species that I have encountered. Colour, form, texture, name.
My final univeristy project continues to explore coral bleaching through
audience interaction of walking over and breaking a floor of tiles.
Exploring coral bleaching through the loss and disappearance of the art. Clay and water are predominant mediums explored.
2019 - ongoing
Based on the recent study that showed out of 100 coral reefs investigated, only 6 had not been affected by coral bleaching and climate change.
A project studying corals before and after the bleaching process through drawing with pencil, ink, and bleach.
Photograms of plastic bottles, exploring the permanence but fragility of the material that pollutes our oceans.

If plastic bottles were looked at as a solid, indestructible material, would we look at them the same way? Would we be so willing to throw them away?
